Horsemanship Level 2
A Horsemanship Level 1,
immediately followed by the Level 2 course is planned to
start weekly Thursday, September
10th, from 7:00 to
Minimum age 9 yrs.
Fee is $55 + gst/lesson. Max of 5 students.

Horsemanship Level II
continues to build upon the skills and knowledge acquired in
Level I through the use of Longeing and Natural
Longeing is a valuable
skill that is essential to every rider and has many
uses, some of which are:
- exercising a fresh,
or too energetic horse before riding
- teaching the horse
to walk, trot, canter and halt by using subtle body
motions and voice commands
- longeing a rider to
improve position and balance
- starting a young
- improving horse handling
Natural Horsemanship and join
understanding, respect and trust between the horse and
handler with amazing results. Once joined up the
horse will follow the handler anywhere in the ring, even over
obstacles, without the need of a halter and lead rope.
